Gears of War 2 getting a thorough refresh - major changes coming in January
Mark Rein, some bloke from Gears developer Epic, has just posted a whole heap of facts about what's changing in the forthcoming Gears of War 2 update on the Epic Games forum.
He neglected to use the word "badass" but he did use plenty of other words - most notably "January" to describe when the Gears 2 title update will arrive.
Rein promises sweeping changes will be made to address bugs and exploits, says there will be bigger penalties for people who quit games early - the modern day equivalent of spitting in someone's face - and tweaks to the spawning system will stop scum-sucking cheats chain-sawing the faces off people as soon as they arrive in the map.
You'll also be able to see how far you've progressed in your endless pursuit of some of the game's bigger and tougher kill-count Achievements thanks to enhanced in-game stat-tracking, plus shotgun "lag" when shooting American teenagers online when you should probably be in bed will supposedly be fixed.
It'll be great, if you like that sort of thing. The best just got better, and so on.
