JAPANESE MAGAZINE: Resident Evil 5 demo coming this Friday

resident-evil-5-demo-coming-xbox-live.jpgResident Evil 5, which we're still struggling to believe is a simultaneous release on Xbox 360 and PS3 next March, will shortly be arriving on Xbox Live as a playable demo.

The news came via a report in Japanese magazine Famitsu - translated by IGN - with the resulting English words telling us that a demo of the not-racist game will appear on Xbox Live marketplace this Friday. It'll feature two stages, the Japanese magazine's words said, and will be playable offline and online in multiplayer options.

You also have to be an Xbox Live Gold member in order to play it and, in some deeply terrible and sad news, there is no mention of a demo of the PS3 version. The RE5 teaser is only confirmed for Japan right now, but it's rather unlikely that Capcom would go to the trouble of creating a demo then not bother releasing it in the other bits of the world. Next week for us, for sure.
