Criterion continues with the Burnout Paradise content - shows "Big Surf Island" to a largely uninterested world
We're not entirely sure how many people spend their time obsessively playing Burnout Paradise these days, but we'd generously estimate it to number in the high tens or very low hundreds, thanks to the game launching way back in January and not exactly being popular even then.
But still. Developer Criterion is pushing on with its aggressive and never-ending downloadable update plans, revealing more on "Big Surf Island" - its latest not-free, money-costing Burnout universe update. Here's what it looks like. It looks like CARS.
"If you want a taste of what the island is all about, head for the airfield, quarry or beach in Burnout Paradise right now and imagine an area the size of Downtown dedicated to that kind of gameplay," Criterion says, although I'd have to get my disc back off the bloke I sold it to last February to do that.
No mention is made regarding the cost of the expansion - or its release date. Although it is going to COST MONEY and it will COME OUT. We just don't have actual numbers.
