An update about clothing for pretend people who don't exist - Avatar winter collection launches

xboxer-reader-avatar-0000001.jpgMicrosoft's lived up to its promise to hand out free extra clothing items for your wacky and unusually thin virtual recreation - a new kind of coat has just become available for download. It's a snowboarding jacket. Calm down, you'll hurt yourself.

In the least interesting news to hit the internet since LiveJournal launched in 1999, we can reveal that the new coat is free. The coat is accompanied by ONE NEW TYPE OF BOOT, ONE NEW HAT and a pair of BLUE GLOVES. New items are symbolised by a gold star, if you haven't already memorised all the kinds of imaginary clothing.

Of much more importance is that picture up there - it's an Xboxer reader! Pete, AKA 'Flowdeeps', is the only person to have responded to our call for your Avatar pics so far, and he assures us that the body is "accurately thin" and that really is his actual hair.

We're not sure seeing what readers look like is a good idea any more.
