The Sun continues its Xbox 360 promo campaign with a Gears 2 "advertorial"

gears-war-2-sun-online-advertorial.jpgBritain's top-selling tabloid is still whoring itself out for Microsoft, today adding a gushing piece all about Gears of War 2 to its Xbox 360-themed mini portal.

We have no idea who's supposed to be fooled by this. Especially as the following completely ludicrous quote is included...

"These guys aren't just there to be blasted into smithereens. On a human level they have complex pasts, it's set to be an emotional experience ... and then you can blow them to smithereens!"

The original Gears was easily the most one-dimensional and idiotic shooter of all time. The chances of Gears 2 offering any sort of "emotional experience" are laughably remote. Still, it's only for Sun readers.

Gears 2 is out tomorrow. Thank Christ.
