That GTA IV downloadable content is almost certainly NOT coming out this year

GTA-IV-screen-1.jpgRockstar Games' BIG BOSS Dan Houser has told Variety that the much-wanted downloadable content missions/world/cars/whatever for GTA IV still doesn't have a release date.

"I'm not sure. It's going well. But we don't know a date," Houser told the magazine about the GTA DLC, pretty much guaranteeing zero chance of seeing the GTA IV update this year. There are only about seven weeks of 2008 left, so you'd imagine old Mr Houser would be shouting about it if there was any chance of us seeing the missions/map/clothes/whatever upgrade any time soon.

The only positive news is that Mr Houser says Rockstar hopes to be announcing the actual release date "in the next few weeks". He ought to get his team working a bit harder - leave it much longer and everyone's well-worn copies of GTA IV will have been traded in for Gears 2.
