Rare surrenders to Banjo-Kazooie internet outrage - will be changing the text ASAP
Last week, Rare said it was too hard and really awkward and not worth doing. Today it's said it will go the extra mile and issue the order.
The problem? The text size in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts when the game's played on one of those old cathode-ray, standard-definition televisions that poor people insist on still using. Some people can't read the subtitles.
In a statement issued today, Rare, slightly dismissively and to its credit, said you will soon be able to read the subtitles that pop up whenever cartoon tosspots like that mole there appear on screen, pointing out that...
"It has come to our attention that people are experiencing subtitle readability issues with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts on Standard Definition TVs. We would like to assure you that contrary to earlier reports, we are aware of the issue and currently working on a title update to be released within the next 30 days that will fix it for those with Standard Definition TVs. We're committed to ensuring all fans of the franchise are able to have the best experience possible with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts."
So there you go. Whining about tiny things endlessly on the internet CAN make a difference!
