High street and/or shopping mall game specialist GAME is doing a pretty awesome Gears 2 bundle if, for some reason, you've decided that the dumb alien-head-sawing experience is the game that's made Xbox 360 a must-have console in your eyes.

For £199 of today's battered money, you can have a 60GB proper Xbox 360, a copy of Gears 2 and the now-deemed-SHIT-and-OBSOLETE Gears 1, plus an extra wireless controller. That's a saving of £32.99 according to GAME.

The deal is so popular that GAME's web site has been crashing all morning, giving us a rare look at the site's custom maintenance page, which I've reproduced up there as we all know what Xbox 360s and Gears of War 2s look like but I doubt many of you are familiar with GAME's custom maintenance warning page.

Sorry that this update reads like an advert. It isn't. The only think I've ever had for free out of GAME is a few magazines I stole for the thrill of it during one extremely boring weekend in 1999.
