PS3 also CRUSHED in America - Xbox 360 hits 11.3m in the US thanks to rampant September
As well as humiliating Sony in Japan last month, Microsoft also managed to redden the bottom cheeks of Sony's disastrous PS3 in America during the month of September.
Sony managed to shift 232,000 PS3s in the US last month, while Microsoft sold 347,000 Xbox 360s. That is what statisticians refer to as "shit-loads more" - and a clear indication that PS3 has ZERO chance of ever catching Xbox 360's total, let alone overtaking it. Last month's sales helped Xbox 360 to an 11.3million user base in the US.
Also, if you've got an Excel document on which you're recording global sales totals, you might like to remember that Xbox 360 is 900,000 consoles ahead of PS3 in the UK as well and selling at twice the rate of Sony's machine, so don't go lying to yourself that Sony has any sort of "stronghold" left in Europe, either.
