CASUAL AVALANCHE: New Xbox dash features "Photo Party" picture sharing "fun"

Photo Party is sort of part of the New Xbox Experience dash update that's coming in a couple of weeks. An optional and free downloadable extra component, it adds the ability to share pics with seven other gamers, online, while chatting away in your very own "photo party."

We can only think of ways this will be used for peculiar group sexual activities. But it is presumably meant for families to share entirely innocent images of holidays. Here's what it looks like.

Fantastic. Very wacky. Can't wait to have a photo party of my own. Those Sun-reading casual gamers are going to CRAZY for some of that.

Of much more interest are today's reports that users with the new dash already on their Xbox 360s thanks to Microsoft's preview programme are happily installing games to HD and benefiting from much quicker load times and ZERO DVD drive noise while playing games. That alone will make November 19's launch of the NXE dash a very big day in Xbox history.
