Xbox 360 sales up 214% - outselling PS3 by a ratio of 2:1 in the UK
Information collector Chart Track has released some data regarding the hotly-competed battle for second place in the console wars - and Xbox 360 is currently hammering PS3.
Thanks to the recent price cut, Xbox 360 has seen its sales ROCKET by more than 200% over the two weeks since the reduction. The new £129 entry point has seen Xbox 360 pull away from PS3, with Microsoft today saying it's currently selling twice what PS3 is managing. That's TWICE as many. TWICE. TWICE.
Microsoft told the world last week that sales over the weekend immediately after the cut were up by 32% - so the further rise to 214% is a huge boost. All this and big-hitting games like Gears of War 2, Fable II and Halo Wars still to come. There's going to be an embarrassment of Xbox 360s sold between now and Christmas.
