That's the all-new, 3D, menu-flipping, avatar-creating dash update first revealed at E3 last July.

An advert for Rock Band 2 - which ironically appears inside the current Xbox 360 dash - has given the game away, telling potential game-buyers they'll be able to "check out the New Xbox Experience coming in November." Which, our journalistic training tells us, means the new dash update will be coming in November.

On the down side, this means nothing exciting it going to happen during October. All we'll have in October is a series of updates about precisely when in November the dash update will hit.
