MICROSOFT MAN: "Everything is still going well" despite economic slowdown

robbie-bach-bill-gates-no-slowdown.jpgRobbie Bach, who's the president of Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices Division that also includes Zune and the PC gaming scene, has reassured the hordes of raging Microsoft fans that everything's still going well for Xbox 360 in the States, despite the global CASH CRISIS.

Here is precisely what he said:

"We have not seen, on the consumer side of our business, a slowdown."

That's it. Not a particularly great quote to base an entire update around, but not much else has happened today. Bach was speaking at a Microsoft event launching a few new types of mouse and webcam. You must feel extremely reassured right now.

We'll get to see proper US sales data later today, as the NPD releases its figures for who sold what in America during August. If Xbox 360 has outsold PS3 we'll do something on it tomorrow. If it hasn't, we'll ignore it. Being selective about the facts is every blogger's prerogative.
