MICROSOFT MAN: Wii Fit is a "gimmick" and 60% of players won't touch it more than once

wii-fit-lady-hi-res.jpgWay to go, David Gosen!

Speaking to nerdy development blog Develop, Mr Gosen, who once worked for Nintendo before ending up at Microsoft, said Wii Fit's "digital bathroom scales" would only be played with once by 60% of buyers.

"What Nintendo have done with the Wii is truly fantastic - there is no question about it. But I think sometimes there is a thin line between gimmick and great gameplay," Gosen RAGED UNCONTROLLABLY, adding "we've seen some research that says 60 per cent of people who bought a Wii Fit play it once and don't play it again."

Mr Gosen then threw away all his good work by bigging-up forthcoming Microsoft gimmick game and unoriginal Singstar rip-off Lips, a game that might see the outside of its drawer once a year at best.

Still, always good to see an executive loosening his tie and slagging off the enemy. Thanks, Dave. You brightened up an otherwise uneventful Thursday.
