Tomb Raider: Underworld coming November 21st

tomb-raider-underworld99.jpgTomb Raider: Underworld's been confirmed for release on pretty much every format on November 21st. The plot sees multitalented Lara Croft finding proof of the Thor's hammer, which is naturally rumoured to have ancient mystical powers.

It'll be interesting to see what comes of this one. With previous titles Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Tomb Raider: Legend we just got a last-gen game given some extra eye candy for a next-gen release. Economically, it made sense for Eidos, who no doubt wanted to release for as many formats as they can. It's was a little disappointing though. A game designed to span multiple generations is less likely to really change the gameplay to suit the next-gen. Still, from the previews it sounds like this next instalment's been designed with next-gen consoles in mind more than previous ones. Let's hope that's the case.
