Champions Online is looking to provide the full massively-multiplayer superhero experience.

As well as creating your superpowered character, the game will require you to design an Arch Nemesis - a supervillain at a similar power level to your avatar who will be a constant recurring adversary.

The game will allow high levels of customisation for both you and your dire foe - everything from the colour and shape of an energy field to the kind of 3D wireframe used to animate the character can be selected and tweaked.

It all sounds a lot of work, but as long as your arch nemesis is given something to do other than just show up, cackle and attack you then it should be worthwhile.
