The first 'media' from Microsoft's forthcoming SingStar rip-off competitor Lips have made their way onto the interweb tubes.

Aaaand.. they are just packaging shots and lifestyle photography. Not a sniff of gameplay footage, screenshots or even cutscenes masquerading as gameplay.

In what might be an attempt to distract the public from sniggering and making jokes about the game's title, the packaging seems to feature a man who looks like the singer from the Kaiser Chiefs wearing a slightly pained expression of astonishment as the chap next to him leans in for a good rummage in his trousers. The microphone proffered at waist height seems only to compound the imagery.

On the plus side, the lifestyle shots show some nice-looking glowing microphones. These will apparently pulse with light in time with your voice and incorporate a (sigh) motion sensor to add a slight dance element to the game.
