Two Human co-op for Silicon Knights epic, not four

Erk. It's never a good sign when a game starts having features removed, but we're taking today's announcement that cybernetic Norse mythology mash-up Too Human is set to have its multiplayer component cut back as a potentially good thing. We'd rather have a more polished two-player co-op mode than a borked four-player one after all. And, we're guessing, it might just mean that there's an increased focus on the single-player mode. With so many 360 games neglecting the solo player in favour of those with Live accounts, it's nice to have a forthcoming title that'll offer a decent-sized adventure to the Billy-No-Mateses out there.

Oh, and it's also online only, now. Not sure if an offline multiplayer was ever actually confirmed, but it's definitely off the agenda now.

Too Human will ship in August - 19th in the US, and 29th in Europe. A late summer/early Autumn smash? We'll know in just a few short months.
