RARE special - Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise on the way

pinata2.jpg

'More accessible and intuitive' is the mantra for the new Viva Pinata game, due to be officially revealed tomorrow, but - as always - leaked onto the internet slightly early. Only a day this time, though? You NDA-breakers are slipping.

While we expect more concrete info once the embargo's actually over tomorrow, we do know that Rare was aware its original required a little too much micromanagement for much of its target audience, and so has made things a touch more focussed, and probably a little less time-consuming, too.

For a family-friendly title, the original Pinata played a little too much like a deep and detailed strategy game at times, your garden requiring a level of maintenance that some found off-putting. It enjoyed cult success among core gamers who were looking for something a little different, and the shot above proves it's lost none of its quirky charm.

Like we say, expect more info tomorrow. For now, you can coo over the cutesy grab above. Pinata penguins? Sold.
