Xbox 360's "Newton" Wii controller revealed

Well, sort of revealed. Revealed by a man who's done a sketch of what he thinks Microsoft's new motion controller is going to look like. Yes, it's Monday morning, and no interesting video game news emerged over the weekend.

Hence the appearance of this:

He could've at least used a ruler to get the edges straight. We know the Xbox 360 Wiimote is coming, eventually, but will it look like this?

Who cares? The chances of anyone buying the thing are incredibly 'remote' - we're happy with the regular controller, thanks. If Microsoft thinks it's going to suddenly steal all of Wii's sales by copying its technology, it's got a rather rude awakening coming. Remember PS3's SIXAXIS controller? No? Exactly.

Code-naming it after the Apple's failed PDA seems like a good move.

Hey Nintendo owns Mario not motion. Sonys 2 in 1 Sixaxis was the best and worst of both in one. Microsoft will have both the standard control and a motion wand going at the same time. Both touch sensitive for a quick change. Full back support because the standard control will remain unchanged and new games with motion will require the NEW 360mote for 49 bucks. Its win win as we get the best of both worlds and Microsoft gets to stick it to Sony while its off balance retooling for the Dualshock 3. I bet them moment Sony signed the papers and paid all the players involved in the Dualshock 3 rebirth, Microsoft leaked the info that they are 2nd fiddle yet again. When you fight a war its the one who acts that wins because the one who reacts has no time to think about what to do next. Multitask them to death Microsoft lol
