Xbox Live's Major Nelson (seriously, is his first name 'Major' or is he an actual high ranking soldier? Did he just go to public school, where prefects used to call him 'Nelson Minor' and is now overcompensating?) has confirmed that there will be no XBLA game released this week.

None. Zip. Nada. The cupboard is bare.

It's almost as if there were some other game coming out that was going to use up all the bandwidth or otherwise occupy the attention of practically every Xbox gamer. Something high-profile, hyped to the Nth power and featuring a multiplayer mode that everyone is gagging to try out.

It's Rocky and Bullwinkle, isn't it? I knew it.
