No Fallout 3 demo for you!
Bethesda have confirmed that there will be NO demo version of Fallout 3.
But why, Bethesda? Don't you love us? Aren't we good enough? Or are you just SCARED? Scared of being JUDGED?
Well, apparently it's none of those things. The real reason, according to Bethesda's Pete Hines is that the game is just too big, too complex and too undivideupable (technical term) to break off a demo-sized chunk.
Says Hines, "When you build it as one thing, there's no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo, which we're just not going to do."
Fair enough, I suppose, although its always a bit suspect when a company won't give you a taster of the real thing.
For a title like Fallout 3, though, there are probably enough die-hard fans of the series who would go out and by an old game of bagatelle if it had the Fallout logo on it somewhere so maybe Bethesda can afford to play fast and loose with our emotions like this.
