Iron Man to get change of clothes - TRY TO CONTROL YOURSELVES
In possibly the week's most underwhelming announcement, SEGA has 'revealed' that upcoming movie tie-in Iron Man will feature some extra costumes.
Well, we say costumes - they are suits of Iron Man armour, really. As well as your standard Mark III red & gold outfit, Tony Stark will get to slip into the old-school Mark I & II, the very 1940s looking Classic Mark I and the pumped-up Hulkbuster kit that lets you, er, bust Hulks.
In a further piece of news that somehow failed to knock the Iraq War off the front pages, two of the suits will be console exclusives. The PS3 gets the new fangled alt-universe Ultimate Iron Man outfit, while Xbox 360 owners can prance about in the Silver Centurion armour first seen in Iron Man #200 when Stark battled... zzz.. hrn? whazzat? Sorry - must be a bit warm in here.
I suppose this is the problem with trying to make games around fictional characters with their own storylines - they don't change very much and if you want to use a standard power-up based framework for a game you need to come up with fascinating addons like this.
Of course you could try coming up with a novel, no-power-up game mechanic but..., no, it'll never catch on.
