Wii adventure No More Heroes meant for 360
It has emerged that the Wii action-adventure game No More Heroes was originally designed with the Xbox 360 in mind. While there was recent news that Microsoft saw the 360 as a console for Wii users to 'graduate' to, it turns out we've lost a game to Ninty's underpowered little white box, and the allure of the novelty controllers.
As revealed in today's No More Heroes special supplement of respectable industry print rag MCV, the developer of No More Heroes has admitted that the 360 was his original choice. The Grasshopper games studio's founder Suda51 said, “Originally, I’d wanted to make this game for Xbox 360, actually. [Marvelous Interactive boss] Wada-san had information about the new Wii and how the new controller would work before it came out, so that’s why he thought I should produce the game on that format".
A shame really, as the game looks pretty neat, but for every one game that moves from 360 to Wii, there's dozens that could never be made for the Wii's rather underwhelming internal power. And all we usually miss out on is a load of embarrasing mini game compilations.

You're right of course. In reality the Wii is worth the asking price just for Super Mario Galaxies and Excite Truck. Then There's Zelda, the best Metal Slug ports, and plenty of other great stuff. It's just a shame the mini game comps and party games get all the attention and shelf space in stores.
