Lost Odyssey to become a franchise?

lostodyssey.jpg

Wondrous news. Ace new MS role-player Lost Odyssey (out this Friday folks - please buy it) looks set to become a series, according to someone somewhere at Microsoft.

Apparently the game shifted over 100,000 units in Japan, which MS were very happy with, and so the Head of Microsoft H&E (someone please tell us what that acronym stands for, we're being a bit thick this morning) let slip that "the series will grow as time goes on".

LO is certainly not dissimilar to Final Fantasy, and though we can't see it going quite as far as that particular franchise, it'd be nice to see a sequel or three.
