Which, funnily enough, is a few days before the Game Developers Conference, which kicks off on February 18.

The chances of GoW2 being at GDC have therefore just rocketed from "possible" to "pretty much guaranteed" - it was there, after all, that Sony chose to show off LittleBigPlanet and Home for the first time last year, much to the enjoyment of a small section of society.

The Feb 12 revelation comes from American magazine GamePro, which has been bragging about its next issue that goes on sale on the 12th - which, it says, will contain Gears of War 2. Hopefully GamePro's not just doing one of those ultra-lame "50 Things We'd Like To See In GoW2" features that magazines occasionally con their readers with during periods of declining readership.

So. Expect GoW2 screens and information to appear very soon. Any day now. It's bound to get leaked before the 12th. No one can keep secrets that big.
