"We had an executive review the other day and I can tell you it is definitely more badass." - the words of Mr. Mark Rein of Epic Games, talking about the recently-announced sequel to one of the 360's best games.

Sadly, despite the best efforts of interviewer Tom Bramwell, Rein wouldn't reveal any more details about the story, or indeed whether the game would include the rumoured four-player co-operative mode (please let this happen).

Rein compared the development process favourably to that of Gears, letting slip that "compared to where we were in the February before we shipped the last Gears, the game is in phenomenal shape", further promising "some good surprises".

A more polished Gears, with added twists? Sounds just peachy to us.
