Wishes can come true. Mere days after we posted about our hope for a Brumak fight in Gears 2 (see Related Post below for details), information emerges that suggests it might just happen.

The voice of protagonist Marcus Fenix, John DiMaggio has let slip that he's working on the game at the moment and that the characters get to fight the Brumak this time - you may recall, a confrontation with said behemoth (pictured here) was added to the PC version.

We remember playing the original game and thinking that the battle might have been cut for time, with a tantalising cutscene showing what might have been. Well now it appears 360 owners will finally get chance to pit their wits (or, more accurately their oversized firearms) against the beastie. Exciting stuff.

DiMaggio also revealed that there would be more weapons, beasts and "a couple of new characters". And the story's apparently better too. But we knew that already.

The 'more badass' sequel will be available in November, so you've got another eight months of us banging on about it. Lucky you.
