Activision move to the middle of the road with Guitar Hero: Aerosmith

Activision prove beyond all doubt that they have their fingers firmly on the pulse of pop culture by announcing the first band tie-in edition in the Guitar Hero line up - Guitar Hero: Aerosmith.
Y'know, Aerosmith - combined age of 284, singer who looks like a Muppet made from chamois leather? Often heard during asteroid-related catastrophe? Those chaps.
Currently in development for a June release on Xbox 360, PS3 and Wii, GH:A allows MOR-obsessed gamers to step into Joe Perry's well-worn shoes and follow the band's career path from grimy bar room to stadium rawk knicker-catching antics.
Of course scientific tests have shown that Aerosmith 'Rock' so perhaps the kids will snap this up, particularly if Activision decide to release the Run DMC 'career reinvention' expansion pack (that I just made up). Guitar Hero III owners who can't bear the wait can download Aerosmith's "Dream On" via Xbox Live or Playstation Network.
Up next - Guitar Hero: Django Reinhardt.
