First the good news, the news that will bring those angels back down from heaven again just when they thought they were going to get a year of peace - Metal Slug 3 is this Wednesday's (that's today! Thanks, Bank Holiday!) Xbox Live Arcade Game.

Co-op multiplayer over Xbox Live will make Metal Slug 3 a must for arcade blaster fans with at least one friend - and a Definite Buy even at a slightly top-heavy 800 Microsoft Cash Units.

The only bad news is the difficulty of the game's Achievements - they have been set to MAXIMUM PAIN.

With challenges like "Complete any mission without getting any power-up items," beating the whole game without continuing (actually impossible) and finishing levels without dying once, it's going to be one awesome test of gaming powers to get the full 200 points. If you're the sort of person who cares and doesn't just give up after the first 30 easy ones have been obtained, that is.
