It's OK, everyone, GTA IV is not going to be delayed any more
The whole internet got a bit upset last week, when Take 2 boss Strauss Zelnick said GTA IV would be released "when it's ready."
Everyone then speculated WILDLY and UNCONTROLLABLY that this meant GTA IV would be delayed past its Easter-ish planned launch date, as that's what kids on the internet tend to do to pass the time.
But over the weekend Zelnick clarified things a bit, spelling it out nice and simple so everyone can understand. There is now a firm three month window during which GTA IV will appear.
"I wasn't intending to be newsworthy," he told messy-looking news blog Gamespot. "When asked about the release date, I confirmed the previous release date we'd given, which is our second fiscal quarter. That's to say sometime between the beginning of February and the end of April."
Which almost certainly means a week or two before Easter, as Easter's the second-biggest game-selling period of the year behind Christmas.
