Reflexive entertainment has announced a shooter headed for XBLA, going by the name of Axiom Overdrive. Further details are available at their webbie here , but it looks like side scrolling shooter with some physics-based puzzling thrown in to mix things up. There's no news on release date or pricing yet.

Shooter fans are getting a good run of it on XBLA, with games like Rez, Ikaruga and Omega Five on the way. Axiom Overdrive will have to do something pretty special to stand out from the crowd of other shooters headed towards the 360. Still, it's better than another retro re-hash and the physics based puzzling has potential.
