Video game BAFTAs - Bioshock and Crackdown WIN BIG at Nintendo Borefest 2007
The video game BAFTAs took place last night. Let's get the predictable stuff out of the way first.
Nintendo scooped loads thanks to its novelty mini games, with Wii Sports winning awards for (deep breath) Casual, Gameplay, Innovation, Sports, Strategy & Simulation and Multiplayer.
Amazingly, there were some other categories! Xbox 360 had the last laugh in one of them - Bioshock was crowned Best Game, with Crackdown scooping the Action Adventure trophy. That really is about it thanks to bloody Nintendo. PS2 action game God of War 2 got a couple, arty wolf-painting game Okami got another two, while Football Manager 2007 did the business down at the PC end of things.
PlayStation3 won nothing, so to make amends we're happy to award Sony the Xboxer Shoddiest Xbox 360 Port award, for the terrible versions of year-old games poor PS3 has had to put up with.
