Lost Odyssey contains 20 hours of cut-scenes

lost-odyssey-fact-update.jpgNow we're not going to say if that's a good thing or not, you can just all make up your own minds about whether it's positive or negative that for half the game's 40-hour challenge you'll just be sitting there watching story bits happening.

And if that's not enough paying attention for you, the game will also include a text-based novel, entitled Dream of 1000 Years. There are 34 chapters to slog through, if you're one of those odd people who enjoy slogging through text-based RPG side stories.

Also revealed by the game's creator Mr Sakaguchi is Lost Odyssey's plot device. Sadly, the main plot device is... amnesia. Again. Main character Kaim has the good old amnesia, which is why such a hard, 1000-year-old-warrior has no skills when you start the game. Game developers must all be suffering from amnesia if they think a lead character with amnesia is an interesting angle to take.
