Halo 3's flying wheelie bin glitch

Halo 3 is the most serious, least-amusing game in history. Which makes it all the more hilarious when some trouble-making kids manage to break it and actually make something interesting happen via the medium of glitches.

So here's a video of a man flying about in a big rubbish bin. It's the most interesting thing to happen in Halo 3 so far.

Wasn't that exciting? There's even a little comedic out-take tagged on the end, so make sure you don't walk out while the credits are rolling. To recreate it yourself, the makers say you have to "get inside the dumpster close the lid and jump at the same time" - which, to be fair to Bungie, is something so monumentally pointless you can't expect their bug testers to have tried it.

Amusing, but hardly justifies a two and a half minute video!

I just don't understand how this isn't possible in real life.
