One talented forum member over on the Xbox-Scene forums has posted pictures of his latest project, the Xbox Mini. And my word, it looks gorgeous.

Apparently in the works for a year, this case modification for the original Xbox looks closer to one of those vertical Wireless Routers rather than the hulking great black sprawl that was Microsoft's original console.

There are a few problems though. Though the tiny casing does house an 80gig laptop hard drive, there's no DVD drive packed in, with the plan seemingly to be to make use of an external optical drive, potentially making the unit look not quite so sexy.

Nevertheless, this is one incredible piece of modding genius, and I congratulate the man involved. Fancy knocking me one up too?
