No Virtua Fghter 5 for Japan?

vf5.jpgTohru Murayama, lead designer of the forthcoming Xbox 360 version of Virtua Fighter 5 admits that the team still have yet to decide whether to release the fighting classic in Japan, thanks to the lack of Xbox 360 sales in the Far East.

“We haven't decided if we'll release Virtua Fighter 5 in Japan because of that. But if we can only release the game for the US or EU markets, we just hope Virtua Fighter 5 will be a key title which encourages people to buy Xbox 360s.”

Featuring full online play, Virtua Fighter 5 is one every fighting fan out there should be heavily anticipating. It’ll be a huge shame if our Japanese Xbox 360 owning pals have to miss out due to Microsoft’s inability to flog their console in any great number over there. Fingers crossed they get around to releasing it, and we can all join in the fun.
