Metal Gear Solid 4 will come to Xbox 360, obviously
Regarding the worst-kept secret in video games today - Konami has dropped yet another thinly-veiled hint that Metal Gear Solid 4 is coming to Xbox 360.
In an interview with very, very, very serious blog Reuters, Kazumi Kitaue, Konami's head of North American and European operations, said "Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps."
Those steps are as follows.
STEP 1: Look at home badly PS3 is selling. STEP 2: Look at how much MGS4 is costing to make. STEP 3: Extrapolate how few copies MGS4 will sell on PS3 alone. STEP 4: Get Microsoft to send over 100 new Xbox 360 development kits. STEP 5: Start mocking up the Xbox 360 box art.
Kitaue also questioned the impact the $100 American price cut would have on PS3 sales, speculating that "I don't expect a substantial impact ... With $500, you can buy a personal computer" - or an Xbox 360 and five amazing games. He didn't say that last bit. That was us.

Less than 5 hours ago while standing on stage right next to Hideo Kojima, Jack Tretton announced that MGS4 will be released exclusively on the PS3.
BTW selling badly? The PS3 SOLD 3.6 million in it's first 6 months. The 360 only SHIPPED 3.2 million in it's first 6 months.
If you think the price cut won't improve sales think again. Sony's top 5 biggest retailers in the US are reporting that PS3 sales have more than doubled. Just take a look at Amazon.com. The PS3 has been the #1 video game seller since the price cut was announced. The 360 is at #20 BTW behind the Wii and 2 different versions of the PS2.
