'Lost' man to do Medal of Honor: Airborne soundtrack

mike-lost.jpgWhen you think of TV show Lost, you don't really think of the music. You may think of the weird thumping sound. Or the screechy-whoosh that greets yet another unsatisfactory flashback detailing the boring past of a minor character you don't really care about.

Does Lost even have any music?

Still. Someone at EA was impressed enough, as Lost musician Michael Giacchino has been installed as lead composer for the bits you hear over the bullet sounds in upcoming war sequel Medal of Honor: Airborne. Presumably Richard Jacques was busy.

Mikey G also penned the music bits for Alias, Mission: Impossible III and The Incredibles. So if he's not good, he's at least very well connected and popular.

Medal of Honor: Airborne is out on Xbox 360 on August 24.

LOL. Actually, Michael G. was the guy who wrote the music for the original MOH, MOH Underground, and MOH Frontline. He left the series because EA wanted to keep him under exclusive contract, which was clearly unfair for someone of his talent. He went on to score Call of Duty, Secret Weapons Over Normandy, and his TV and film work (including this year's Ratatouille). EA finally woke up and brought him back to the series and the musical sound that he basically invented.
